Teaching My Kids From Home

When we moved to a rural area, I knew that there might be days when I couldn't get the kids to school. With a twenty mile commute and extreme weather conditions, I knew that I had to be prepared to teach them their times tables and English literature from my kitchen table. Fortunately, I was able to find some teaching manuals and student texts that made things a lot easier. Each day my children had to stay home, I took the time to review their current school work, and then to expound on the lessons by using the materials I had at home.
